For many people hormones start to decline in their 30’s and this can cause a whole range of symptoms such as fatigue, low confidence, depression, low libido, increased body fat and lots more. Now a suspect that can play a role is testosterone. What many women may be unaware of is that low testosterone may be the cause of these problems not only in men but also in women. Stress plays a big role in reducing testosterone production especially as you age, but thankfully as our expert Dr. Tami Meraglia in this episode of TheEdTalks explains, there are many simple, safe and natural ways to bring your testosterone levels back to normal, to give you the vitality and energy you once had and even possibly help with losing that stubborn belly fat.

In this episode you’ll discover:

  • What are hormones and how do they affect us
  • The reason why traditional medicine may not be paying attention to testosterone levels in women
  • The importance of testosterone for women
  • What are the symptoms of low testosterone in women
  • The correct testing that you should ask your health practitioner to order
  • Why testosterone is linked to our adrenal glands as we age and the significance of this
  • A key factor that reduces our testosterone production
  • Nutritional tips for increasing testosterone
  • What lifestyle changes and supplements you can take to increase your testosterone level

This is Part 5, the final part of this WEB episode series of “Is Organic Food Better For You” and I hope it’s helped to clear up any questions you’ve had surrounding the topic of whether or not Organic Food is better for you and worth the extra cost.

Just to summarize what we’ve learnt so far in Part1Part2Part3 and Part4. In Part1 I explained what certified Organic means and listed the types of labels to look out for to ensure you are not being deceived by clever marketing and labelling of products. In Part2 I compared the overall nutritional value of Organic vs Non-Organic. In Part3 of the series I discussed the risks associated with eating Non-Organic food, as they can potentially have the biggest affect on our energy levels and overall wellbeing. And in the last episode Part4, I made a point of explaining the tactics that media uses to confuse things surrounding Organic vs Non-Organic, such as comparing only certain micronutrients like vitamins and minerals, rather than looking at the big picture for our health and wellbeing.

In this WEB episode I share 5 simple tips for eating healthier and Organic (as we now know eating Organic will help us feel more energized) on a budget. It can definitely be done, so tune in and listen to this short episode.

In this episode you’ll discover:

  • 5 ways to help increase the amount of Organic foods you can fit into your weekly budget
  • What fruits and vegetables you should definitely purchase Organic or avoid
  • What are the safer options when purchasing Non-Organic fruits and vegetables
  • The best places to source your Organic food when on a budget
  • How to ensure your Organic produce is packed with lots of nutrients

I know first hand that when I was struck down with a severe back injury and not being able to take a few steps without excruciating pain for months, that the lack of movement began to affect my overall health andhugely my mental state of mind. So I’m always searching for ways to help me ensure that I’ll still be able to go surfing when I’m 60, play sports with my grandkids and just generally be able to move freely and without pain. To shed some light on the topic we have a fascinating discussion with Dr. Kelly Starrett, who is a doctor of Physical therapy, coach, author and speaker.

In this episode you’ll discover:

  • The importance of a complete physical practice
  • What may be causing you to feel stiff

From January 2016 we will be releasing 2 podcasts per week instead of 3. A weekly energy Boost episode on Mondays and a interview with an expert on Wednesdays. This will give me time to continue to improve TheEdTalks shows, develop online courses and ebooks and most importantly ensure I allow quality time to be with my family.
