In the last Energy Boost episode number 23 I discussed the South American berry camu camu which is the second most richest natural source of Vitamin C in the world, plus it contains a range of other studied benefits that can improve our energy, well being and how we age. Check out the episode here.

In this episode of TheEdTalks I unveil the current heavyweight champion of the world when it comes to a natural source of Vitamin C with a recorded equivalent of around 8057% of the RDI of Vitamin C contained in a 100g of the freeze dried fruit. That’s 145 times more Vitamin C than a 100g medium sized Orange and it’s incredible properties don’t stop there. Listen to this episode to learn why this natural source of Vitamin C can help you feel more energized as well as benefiting indigenous communities who cultivate the fruit.

In this episode you’ll discover:

  • The key nutrients found in this fruit
  • The various energizing benefits of consuming this fruit
  • How it can slow down the ageing process
  • One of its key nutrients that can improve eye health
  • It’s anti cancer potential
  • Chlorophyll’s ability to reduce our body’s absorption of aflatoxins
  • Cautions to consider before consuming concentrated amounts of this fruit
  • Why synthetic supplements may be less desirable.

In the last Energy Boost episode number 22 I discussed the “Superfood” maca which has been used for centuries in traditional cultures as an aphrodisiac, improving fertility and over all wellbeing and sure enough science seems to support such claims as well as its ability to be beneficial for menopausal women and for prostate health in men. Check out the episode here.

In this episode of TheEdTalks I discuss another South American so called superfood, the camu camu berry. The berry is definitely loaded with a varied range of beneficial nutrients although most claims made about the benefits associated with this fruit focus around repeated claims that it is the highest recorded natural source of Vitamin C known of any food on the planet and this was why I started to supplement with camu camu as it was a real food source of concentrated Vitamin C. However, this statement is no longer true, with an Aussie fruit claiming the top spot, which I’ll discuss in the next EB episode. Listen to this episode to learn why you should consider getting a camu camu pick me up.

In this episode you’ll discover:

  • It’s key nutrient that’s responsible for its anti-aging properties
  • The important point that a Japanese study discovered about camu camu
  • The important possible benefits associated with camu camu
  • How it can directly affect energy levels
  • What to be cautious of when consuming camu camu
  • How much to take and how to include it into your diet
  • Why synthetic supplements may be less desirable.
