BodyTalk is an alternative holistic healing system that is practiced all over the world, founded by an Australian Health Care Practitioner called Dr. John Veltheim. I’m always open to new approaches in healing but my science mind does kick in wanting to rationalise things, making me question the validity of modalities that are more touchy feely, without scientifically proven efficacy.

But I definitely acknowledge that there are many mysteries that science can not yet explain, that anecdotally are shown to improve the wellbeing and energy in people and also the fact is that scientific studies cost lots of money and unless there is something that can be developed as a result of the study, the incentives to fund and carry them out are not very compelling. As long as no harm is being done and lots of money not being exchanged, I think something is worth trying if other avenues of traditional medicine are not delivering results, as was the case with Melia Brent-White, who is a certified BodyTalk Practitioner. In this episode of TheEdTalks Melia explains what exactly BodyTalk is, how it created a big positive shift in her life and how it may help us feel more energized.

In this episode you’ll discover:

  • What BodyTalk is and how it works
  • How it can help with anxiety, addiction and depression
  • A new modern theory of thinking that affects everything that we know
  • The Chinese medicine principles incorporated into BodyTalk
  • How it can release past suppressed emotions
  • The other healing modalities incorporated into BodyTalk
  • Why you don’t have to be a believer to reap benefits from it
  • Why our gut may be controlling us more than our brain
  • Melia’s experience in healing people and animals with this technique
  • A key mistake that wastes our energy
  • Three interesting things that Melia suggests to help us feel energized.
